What We Believe

Our Foundation

As an ecumenical fellowship, Destiny Ecumenical Fellowship welcomes believers and ministries across denominational lines. What unites us is not a single tradition, but our shared commitment to the Truth of God received in Christ and to the standards of the inspired Holy Scriptures.

The Covenant

  1. Do nothing to fracture the unity of Destiny Ecumenical Fellowship. This unity is understood as proceeding from the love of God between us and mutual commitment to the Truth of God received in Christ.
  2. To uphold and support the Executive Board and Trustees, Presiding Bishop and Chief Apostle, other clerics, brothers and sisters, both publicly and privately.
  3. Do everything within your power to create and contribute to an atmosphere of cooperation.
  4. To deal with differences honestly, forthrightly, and in a straightforward manner with the brothers and sisters of the fellowship.
  5. To pray for the success and well-being of the membership of the fellowship daily, to pay homage to the leadership, and be readily available to serve at any given time and or notice.
  6. To adhere to the standards of the inspired Holy Scriptures of both the Old and New Testaments as the Verbum Dei (The Word of God) and the Canons, Concordat, Liturgy, and Discipline of Destiny Ecumenical Fellowship as the governing guidance for our life and ministry together in Christ Jesus.
  7. Not to believe every rumor about our brothers and sisters, nor to spread such rumors either. But allow the proper channels to search out such rumors to see if there is any merit to them, and abide by the ruling of the same.
  8. To respond to the need(s) or personal call of our brothers and sisters immediately and stand together in controversy, disagree in charity, and persevere in supporting our corporate calling in Christ.
  9. To support the various businesses/ministries of members within the fellowship and strengthen one another through participation and patronage.
  10. To recruit and refer future like-minded individuals, churches, ministries, and corporations to the fellowship for membership.
  11. To wear appropriate attire/vestments when called upon to do so or for special services and events, and to follow protocol.
  12. To walk in love continuously, and commit to a life of prayer, fasting, studying God’s word, and live a consecrated lifestyle within/outside of this fellowship.
  13. To financially support the fellowship in dues, assessments, tithes, and free will offerings, and to participate in the activities and events of the fellowship and or the fellowship churches/members.
  14. To share your gifts, talents, and time to further the work of the Kingdom of God and exemplify holiness.
  15. To embrace community and brotherhood. Participating in events of the other members in your area, even if not on the program or on the platform or pulpit.
  16. To serve with the spirit of excellence in all we say and do with all modesty and humility and to be willing and able to encourage, admonish, teach, preach, all the ordinances, doctrines, rites, and rituals of the Christian Church (Foot Washing, Water Baptism, and Holy Communion). Never forgetting Christ’s death, burial, resurrection, and second coming for His bride.

Holding to the Covenant

Failure to maintain both the Spirit and the letter of this agreement constitutes grounds for removal as a member within this fellowship corporation.

The covenant is signed by the incoming member, the General Secretary, an Executive Board Member, and the Presiding Bishop & Chief Apostle.
